Hildegard Knef was here over 61 years old and stopped afterwards the live tours. Amsterdam is written by Brel and has here in this German translation very hard and rough lyrics about alcohol, drugs and sex in the nightlife of Amsterdam. Hildegard Knef´s text makes here also a bow to the Reeperbahn in Hamburg because the last concert was in Hamburg and because Hamburg has also this very big "red light area". I was in this concert and can remember well the incredible mood at this last concert and esp.at this last song. Share with friends

hoffmann9471 ::: Favorites Hilde hatte vorher ein 2-Stunden Konzert gegeben u. in der Zeit ohnehin Probleme, auch mit Alkohol etc... Man merkt´s etwas. Das Konzert war trotzdem ein Riesenerfolg u. Triumph.Sie konnte danach mit Konzerten aufhoeren. Kurze Zeit spaeter hörte das Problem mit dem Alkohol wieder auf. Und sie hatte sowas wie ein "Comeback" als DIE grosse alte Dame und WeltStar Deutschlands bis zu Ihrem Tod.
