Description:

This out take shows some of the fun we had making the movie. In this scene, Dead Tom rips out his heart for emphasis. http://www.myspace.com/JOHNGREFF TO ALL FANS OF LOW BUDGET CHEESY INDIE HORROR: IF YOU ARE A FAN OF BOTH "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD" (1968) AND "NAPOLEON DYNAMITE", YOU WILL LOVE "THE DRUNKEN DEAD GUY"! IT'S A STORY FILLED WITH PURE CHEESE CHARACTERS, DEAD PAN HUMOR, CHEAP EFFECTS, AND A ZOMBIE LOOKING FOR HIS NEXT DRINK. THE MOVIE INCLUDES ZOMBIE LEGEND BILL HINZMAN FROM THE OPENING CEMETERY SCENE OF NOTLD. TO PURCHASE, PLEASE CONTACT: http://www.myspace.com/JOHNGREFF DEAD TOM SAYS: "2007 IS THE YEAR OF THE DRUNK ZOMBIE!" -------------------------- Plot: This is the story of Tom, an advertising contractor with an empty, gray existence, just like his cold work commute through concrete. After an untimely death, he enjoys the comforts of Heaven, but a wrongly perceived crisis (God doesn't understand that the Devils are a hockey team) results in the need for a miracle. Tom is the unlucky choice to be risen up to fight the Devils. Unfortunately, Heaven botches the job and Tom is a rotting corpse. The only solution is for him to drink a lot of alcohol to preserve himself. The side effect is that he gets intoxicated! -------------------------- About the DVD: "The Drunken Dead Guy" is a hilarious made-at-home shot-on-VHS comedy with no budget and no crew. The "sets" are like a tour of the living rooms of New Jersey. The audio including the musical instruments was recorded with the camcorder microphone. Yet through all this lack of equipment and production, the large cast of no-names show themselves to be talented comedic actors, especially Tom Duda in the title role. Add to this the writing team of Tom Duda and John Greff, together with John's inspired editing and directing (and his silly music) and you have an enjoyable unique movie that had no business coming together so well. Plus, the movie is graced by zombie legend Bill Hinzman's monumental performance, a couple of very funny scenes with B-movie major talent Tina Krause, and 2 surprise cameos. With "The Drunken Dead Guy" on DVD the new company earns its rightful name: Cheap Jersey Video, Inc.

"This is a REAL HEART!!" "No kidding". The Mom's reaction kills me. It's like a surreal event in her life, she has NO FREAKING IDEA what's going on, but she appreciates the shlock humor of a zombie guy removing his heart and going "BA-BOOMB, BA-BOOMP". There ought to be an award for that bit of improv.

THANKS! Yeah, you are completely on-target. That Turkish family lived next door to Tom and they were a last minute substitute when the people for that last scene didn't show. I just told them to think of Dead Tom as Bobby (a very annoying neighborhood drunk) and I had them say very few lines and maybe told them to have a certain expression/reaction, but right, they had no idea of the story or its intended humor.

But Margaret Oner, she couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous it was. In other words, SHE GOT IT. She also cracked up at my Mexican song "LALALALALALALALA" with my horrible baritone voice! She didn't know it was me singing on the tape until tom told her.
