I live near the Inner West line so I see K sets, S, R, T, sometimes M sets, and V sets do pass through. If you catch a train to Central on the Inner West line, it goes past Everleigh, and you can see some unused Tulloch trailers in the yards, and some diesel, though most of them are bombed! I used to live on the Blue Mountains line so I grew up seeing V sets. I've also ridden on a Citytrain EMU set and a 160 class EMU when I went to Queensland.

actually all sydney trains are double deckers and all the city stations, bar sydney terminal are underground.

I don't mind Syudney trains, but personally I prefer the Commeng trains in Melbourne and the Queensland Rail Citytrains.

i have seen a K set on the Blue Mountains line before, so they must use V sets in the underground sometimes.

That's correct. There was trackwork at Sydney Terminal so the South Coast interburbans were terminating at Martin Place....
