When you're down on your bills and just lost your job, the last thing you should do is throw your hands up and go join welfare for the few bucks they give you. You should get another job ASAP, which is exactly what I've done. I am not on welfare because it takes "weeks to join", and I only lost my job last week (as stated on the website). It's quicker to just find work (which I have found). Besides welfare wont help me. I don't want welfare, I want to work. I don't do welfare. But if some people can give me a hand I''ll appreciate it. What is a church going to do? jnethel ::: Favorites You might find you get a better response if you tell people how you got 5 weeks behind in your rent in the first place. Also an explanation as to why you aren't on some type of social assistance such as Employment insurance and or welfare. Another idea for you is to go to a church.
